JFrog remote MCP and governed MCP Registry flow for Artifactory, Xray, package status, vulnerabilities, components, and software supply chain context.
Installation path
In JFrog Platform, enable the JFrog MCP Server, then use AI/ML -> Discovery -> MCP Servers to approve servers for a project. Developers install the JFrog IDE plugin, click Install MCP from AI/ML -> Registry -> MCP Servers, and the JFrog MCP Gateway configures approved servers automatically.
Setup steps

Enable the JFrog MCP Server
Turn it on in JFrog Platform.

Approve servers
Use AI/ML → Discovery → MCP Servers to approve servers for the project.

Install the JFrog IDE plugin
Install the plugin in your IDE.

Install MCP from the registry
From AI/ML → Registry → MCP Servers click Install MCP: the JFrog MCP Gateway configures approved servers automatically.
Authentication
JFrog MCP Gateway approves servers; developers install via the JFrog IDE plugin.
