Microsoft-hosted MCP for Azure DevOps repos, pull requests, work items, pipelines, wiki, test plans, and search.

Installation path

Open Augment→Go to Configuration→Select MCP Registry→Click "Add Server"

Choose Add Server, select Remote MCP, use HTTP, paste https://mcp.dev.azure.com/{organization}, then authenticate with the Microsoft Entra account connected to that Azure DevOps organization.

Setup steps

  1. 01

    Open Add Server

    Configuration → MCP Registry → Add Server in Cosmos.

  2. 02

    Pick the Remote MCP tab

  3. 03

    Set the transport

    Transport

    HTTP
  4. 04

    Paste the server URL

    Replace {organization} with your Azure DevOps org.

  5. 05

    Choose authentication

    Sign in with the Microsoft Entra account connected to that Azure DevOps organization.

  6. 06

    Click Add, then enable

    Toggle on the products that need it.

Azure DevOps Remote MCP is in public preview and requires an Entra-backed Azure DevOps organization.

Authentication

Sign in with the Microsoft Entra account connected to that Azure DevOps organization.
