The Challenge
Peek provides a software platform for booking and managing experiences—from kayak rentals to museums—supporting both consumer transactions and backend operations. With a 25-person engineering team working across Ember.js, TypeScript, Elixir, and Rails, efficiency and quality are critical.
Peek had previously adopted GitHub Copilot, but adoption was uneven and results mixed. As AI tools gained traction, the team wanted a more intentional approach.

Peek’s backend systems include legacy Ruby repos that require deep context to navigate. Augment stood out for understanding project structure and generating relevant, high-quality completions.“It wasn’t just language-aware—it understood how our code is actually written and applied suggestions intelligently,” said Larson.
